1. Copyright Ownership
Beginning with Volume 10, Issue 1, authors retain copyright in their articles published in Journal Of Nursing Practice (JNP). Authors are not required to transfer copyright to JNP or its publisher, Universitas STRADA Indonesia. Copyright ownership of individual articles is distinct from ownership and management of the journal.
2. Non-Exclusive Publishing Rights
Authors grant JNP a non-exclusive right to publish their accepted article, identify JNP as its original place of publication, and reproduce, distribute, and preserve the published work.` This permission includes making the article available through the journal website and supporting its dissemination through indexing, discovery, repository, and preservation services. The grant of publishing rights does not transfer copyright ownership to JNP. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
3. Author Rights
Authors retain the right to reuse their work in teaching, presentations, subsequent scholarly works, and other lawful activities. They may enter into additional distribution arrangements consistent with rights already granted.
Authors may deposit their submitted manuscript, accepted manuscript, and published version in institutional or subject repositories and on personal websites without an embargo imposed by JNP.
Shared versions should be clearly identified. After publication, authors should include the complete citation and DOI or article URL. The published version must retain its copyright and license statements. Repository records should link to subsequent corrections or other editorial notices where applicable.
4. Author Agreement and Responsibilities
All authors must approve submission, publication, and the applicable copyright and licensing arrangements. The corresponding author coordinates this agreement on behalf of the author group. Authors must ensure that they have the authority to grant the required publishing rights. They are responsible for acknowledging sources and obtaining necessary permissions for third-party material. Authorship must comply with the journal’s Authorship Criteria.
5. Copyright Statements
For articles covered by the author-held copyright policy, the article webpage and full-text PDF must identify the authors as copyright holders using the following format: Copyright © [publication year] The Author(s). Copyright information must be consistent between the article webpage, publication metadata, and full-text PDF. The applicable publication license is explained separately in the Licensing Policy.
6. Previously Published Articles
Articles published before the change beginning with Volume 10, Issue 1 retain the copyright arrangements applicable when they were published. This policy does not retrospectively transfer ownership of previously published articles. Apparent inconsistencies will be examined against the original publication records and relevant agreements before a documented correction is made.
7. Copyright Concerns
Any author, rights holder, or reader may report a copyright concern to jnpstrada@gmail.com, identifying the article, the material concerned, and supporting evidence. Reports will be handled under the journal’s Publication Ethics Policy. Where necessary, JNP will seek clarification from the authors, relevant institutions, or rights holders.
Information about the journal’s institutional ownership and administration is available on the Ownership and Management Information page.
