History

Journal Of Nursing Practice (JNP) was established in 2017 to provide a forum for the dissemination of nursing research and scholarly work.

The journal’s publishing institution was formerly known as STIKes Surya Mitra Husada and subsequently became Institut Ilmu Kesehatan STRADA Indonesia. JNP is currently published by Universitas STRADA Indonesia in collaboration with PPNI, Indonesia.

Development Milestones

  • 2017 — Establishment. Journal Of Nursing Practice began publication.
  • 2018 — Publication language. English became the journal’s main publication language.
  • 1 March 2019 — Website migration. The journal website moved from jurnal.strada.ac.id/jnp to strada.ac.id/jnp.
  • 1 April 2019 — Visual identity. The journal updated its cover and logo.
  • 10 July 2019 — DOAJ inclusion. The journal was added to the Directory of Open Access Journals.
  • 31 July 2019 — Institutional change. STIKes Surya Mitra Husada became Institut Ilmu Kesehatan STRADA Indonesia under Decision No. 657/KPT/I/2019.
  • 15 August 2019 — Domain migration. The journal website moved to the thejnp.org domain.
  • 2019 — National accreditation. The journal obtained national accreditation at Rank 4.
  • 2022 — Accreditation upgrade. The journal was upgraded to Rank 2 (SINTA 2) under Decree No. 225/E/KPT/2022, dated 7 December 2022. As stated in the accreditation certificate, the accreditation covers Volume 5, Issue 2 (2022) through Volume 10, Issue 1 (2027). Accreditation information is available on the journal’s SINTA profile.
  • Volume 10, Issue 1 (October 2026) — Author copyright retention. Beginning with this issue, authors retain copyright to their articles published in Journal Of Nursing Practice. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This policy applies from this issue onward; copyright and licensing terms for earlier articles remain as originally granted.

Journal Of Nursing Practice is currently published by Universitas STRADA Indonesia in collaboration with PPNI. Publisher information in external databases is being updated; some records may continue to display the former institutional name.

JNP publishes four issues per year, in April, July, October, and January. Manuscripts are published in English. The journal accepts original research articles, systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and case studies relevant to nursing.
