Author Fees

Author Fees

Journal Of Nursing Practice (JNP) provides transparent information about publication charges. Authors should review this policy before submitting a manuscript.

  1. Submission Fee

Submission is free of charge.

Authors are not required to pay a fee to submit a manuscript or receive an initial editorial assessment.

  1. Article Processing Charge

The article processing charge (APC), effective 1 April 2025, is:

Fee

Amount

Article processing charge

IDR 1,900,000 or USD 116.64 per accepted article

Additional pages beyond the first 12 pages

USD 5 per additional page

Optional printed copy

USD 20, subject to confirmation of the order and delivery costs

The APC amounts are alternative payment options, not cumulative charges. The invoice will specify the payment currency, applicable charges, and total amount payable.

  1. Services Covered

The standard APC covers the first 12 pages of the final journal-formatted article, including references, tables, and figures.

It supports editorial administration and publication services, including:

  • Similarity screening and editorial assessment of the report.
  • Copyediting and journal formatting.
  • Layout preparation and production.
  • DOI registration.
  • Online publication and dissemination.

Similarity screening does not certify that a manuscript is free from plagiarism. Findings are assessed under the journal’s Plagiarism Policy.

The APC does not purchase acceptance or a favorable review.

  1. Additional Page Charges

Additional page charges are calculated from the final journal-formatted article, rather than the number of pages in the submitted Word file.

Where additional charges apply, the editorial office will notify the corresponding author of the page count and total amount before payment. If payment is made in a different currency, the conversion basis will be stated in the invoice.

Authors must still comply with the length requirements in the Author Guidelines. Payment of additional page charges does not authorize an otherwise noncompliant manuscript.

  1. Payment Timing and Instructions

Payment is requested only after an official acceptance decision. The editorial office will issue an invoice identifying the manuscript, applicable charges, payment instructions, and deadline.

Authors should use the payment details stated in the official invoice and send payment confirmation to jnpstrada@gmail.com, quoting the manuscript ID.

The bank details currently listed for JNP are:

  • Bank: BNI
  • Account name: Surya Mitra Husada Yayasan
  • Account number: 5008007717

Authors should confirm any discrepancy between the published account details and an invoice with the editorial office before transferring funds.

Any applicable bank transfer or currency conversion charges will be identified in the payment instructions.

  1. Fee Waivers and Reductions

Authors without sufficient financial support may request a full or partial waiver. Requests may also be considered where other documented financial circumstances justify assistance.

The corresponding author should submit the request during initial submission through the Comments to the Editor field or by email to jnpstrada@gmail.com.

The request should explain:

  • The financial circumstances of the author group.
  • Available institutional or research funding.
  • Whether a full or partial waiver is requested.
  • Relevant supporting information.

Requests will be assessed individually, taking account of demonstrated need and available journal resources. Waivers are not guaranteed.

If financial circumstances change after submission, authors should promptly contact the editorial office. Waiver decisions must be handled separately from scientific assessment and must not influence reviewer recommendations or editorial decisions.

  1. Optional Printed Copies

Printed copies are optional and are not required for acceptance or online publication.

Before an order is confirmed, the editorial office will specify the item supplied, number of copies, printing charge, and any packaging or delivery costs. Authors should not pay for printed copies without an agreed quotation.

  1. Other Charges and Changes to Fees

Any additional service or charge must be explained and agreed with the author before it is incurred. No additional charge will be imposed without prior disclosure.

Changes to the fee schedule will be announced on this page with their effective date and the submissions to which they apply. Revised charges will not be applied retrospectively without prior notification and agreement.

  1. Refunds and Publication Problems

Requests concerning duplicate payments, overpayments, cancellation, or a failure to provide an invoiced service should be sent to jnpstrada@gmail.com, including the manuscript ID and payment evidence.

The publisher will assess the request against the services provided, the reason for the request, and applicable obligations, and communicate a reasoned outcome.

Payment must not be a condition for issuing a necessary correction, expression of concern, or retraction. Such actions follow the journal’s publication integrity policies.

  1. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, relevance, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and peer review.

Payment, ability to pay, and waiver status do not influence acceptance or rejection. Payment does not guarantee publication in a particular issue or preferential editorial treatment.

Published articles remain freely accessible to readers under the journal’s Open Access Policy.
