Relevance to Nursing
All manuscripts must explain how their research questions, findings, and implications contribute to nursing knowledge, practice, education, or management.
Interdisciplinary studies are considered when their contribution to nursing is explicit. Studies focused solely on another profession or discipline, without a clear contribution to nursing, are outside the journal’s scope.

Article Types

JNP welcomes:

  • Original research articles presenting original empirical findings relevant to nursing;
  • Systematic reviews using explicit and reproducible methods to identify, appraise, and synthesize evidence;
  • Scoping reviews systematically mapping the extent, characteristics, concepts, and gaps in evidence relevant to nursing; and
  • Case studies providing an in-depth examination of a nursing care situation or practice issue, with clear reasoning, ethical reporting, and implications for nursing.

Editorial Consideration

Manuscripts must be written in English. All submissions undergo initial editorial assessment for scope, originality, scholarly quality, ethical considerations, and compliance with submission requirements. Manuscripts that proceed to peer review are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers through double-anonymous peer review.

Authors should consult the Author Guidelines and Submission Checklist and Peer Review Policy before submitting. Information about publication frequency, publisher, accreditation, and licensing is available on the About the Journal page.
